lauren-castles-bioLauren Wilson Castles is a Nashville native and was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2011 after graduating Magna Cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. Ms. Castles graduated in the top 3% of her law school class as the top-ranked female. She has chosen to focus her practice solely on family law litigation, especially advocating for Fathers’ Rights.

Ms. Castles treats each family law matter individually, recognizing that there is no cookie-cutter solution when it comes to family disputes. She understands that family law cases are frustrating, exhausting and stressful, so our office attempts to reduce the stress of each case by addressing client concerns, answering questions and working toward a quick resolution.

Ms. Castles is experienced in handling family law cases throughout Middle Tennessee, including the discovery process, mediation and trial. Ms. Castles has appeared before judges in Davidson County, Williamson County, Rutherford County, Sumner County, Montgomery County, Dickson County, Maury County, Warren County, Bradley County, Wilson County, Robertson County and Cheatham County.

With a focus on family law litigation, Ms. Castles has handled a range of cases from custody to divorce to dependency & neglect cases. Ms. Castles takes very seriously her job to protect you and your family in the midst of a family law crisis, and she passionately advocates for your family’s best interests. Ms. Castles also recognizes that divorces and other family law matters do not always have to be nasty and contentious, and she approaches every case (whether amicable or hostile) with respect and integrity. Education and Work Experience

Ms. Castles received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and History from Samford University in 2008, graduating with Honors. While at Samford, Mrs. Castles became active in trial advocacy groups.

While in law school at Pepperdine University, Ms. Castles simultaneously earned her Juris Doctorate and her Master’s in Dispute Resolution at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. During that time, she focused her studies on litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She also served as a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and as captain of her Trial Team.

During law school, Mrs. Castles clerked for the Davidson County District Attorney’s office, for a prestigious law firm, and for two industry-respected mediators. Upon graduating, Ms. Castles joined a Nashville family law firm, which was also focused on protecting fathers’ rights. Ms. Castles opened the law firm of Castles Family Law in January 2013.

When she is not working, Mrs. Castles enjoys spending time with family, painting and playing golf.
